Great Weekend!

Holy not posting!

Ok, so I am really really REALLY sorry I haven't posted in almost a month! I have been SO BUSY juggling my new job (which I think I mentioned in the last post, but I'm not sure, so sorry if this is a repeat!), trying to see the boyfriend (which I did tonight, more on that later), and just juggling life in general.

Ok. So first thing on the list. My new job. As I'm sure I mentioned before (whether in a previous post or earlier in this post), I am a hostess at a restaurant (no names, sorry!). I have been working 4 days a week, so if I'm not working one day, I'm doing chores or hanging out with friends/boyfriend. The thing is, I feel like I'm always on the go! I don't remember a day when I just sat down at my computer and relaxed (ok, so maybe it was this past Tuesday, but I've had a busy week so it feels like a long time!). I'm hoping tomorrow it rains so that we don't have to clean out the garage like my mom has planned.

Second thing on the list. Yesterday was awesome! I made some money at work working the day shift and then came home and cut grass. Then I went to a festival with my best friend and sister (but not really. We're so close it feels that way) Jess, and it was so much fun! My neck is so sore ('Why? Why did we do this? This was a bad idea!' Inside joke, sorry!) but it was so worth it! The jokes we shared, the people we saw, and the laughs we had were so much more worth it than the pain.

Third thing on the list. I met my boyfriend's, David, family today. No, not his immediate family (see earlier posts for that experience), his extended family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. You name it, they were there. His sister and stepbrother (I think that's right. It's complicated, so don't ask. XD) were graduating, so his family had a joint graduation party. It was so much fun, and his family was so nice and so accepting of me! I was so nervous of what they would think of me, but they loved me and some of them even wanted to see me again! That's a win in my book!

Anyways, I am beyond tired, and need to get up early tomorrow for some chores (if we don't clean the garage, I'll have to clean my room. I can't win. >.<). I'll try to get more posts up, but with all of the things I have coming up soon (like work, a wedding next month, a wedding the month after that and a bridal shower to plan) I can't promise anything. Anyways, sayonara! Goodbye!

Typical Wednesday

Hey guys!

So I know it's been a little bit since I last posted (actually, yesterday made it a week, so yay!). I am officially a sophomore and don't have to repeat any of my previous classes!

It feels so great saying that. The reason I haven't posted lately is because I got a new job! I am a hostess at a restaurant (won't say where), and have officially been there for five days. In fact, I have to go work there today! It's tiring, but totally worth it. Not to mention I am making bank (that means making a lot of money) this week. And I need it too, especially so I can pay off my new phone! Yes, that's right! I have a smart phone!

It took FOREVER, but my mom finally agreed to let me switch my crappy slider phone to a smart android phone, and let me tell you, it was the best thing to happen in my life. I LOVE THIS PHONE. I can text without being interrupted, check Facebook and Twitter without getting on my laptop, and it doesn't turn off by itself! It's great. I never want to get rid of this phone. Hey, it's not exactly an iPhone, but I get one of those for free in August when my contract is up.

As far as summer goes, it's going to be a busy one. I've got two weddings to go to, some plans to make, and I have to work on top of that. I also have to get myself ready not only for college, but for my brother's wedding as well. It's going to be one hectic summer and start to the school year. But I still have a long way to go until school starts again.

As far as my boyfriend David and I go, we are doing well. On Monday we went to see Iron Man 3, and let me tell you, it was awesome! I liked it, but I'm not sure David felt the same way. Then again, he is a die-hard Marvel fanatic, so that might have something to do with it. XD Anyways, we're doing great, so that's that.

Oh, also, my best friend Jess moved out yesterday, and I helped her! It was so much fun (as it always is) to hang out with her and to help her move out. Note to all future college kids out there: when moving in, DON'T PACK SO MUCH STUFF. Seriously, if you think you need it, you really don't. Only pack what's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Trust me, you'll thank me later. Oh, speaking of which, Jess and I are going to be making a video about our college experiences soon, so be sure to watch out for that. I'll give you guys updates on where we are in my next post.

Ok, so that's it for this blog post. I'm almost done putting all of my college stuff away (much relief to my mother XD), so that's awesome. I'm not sure when I'll be able to post again, given my work schedule and the things I have coming up that I mentioned earlier in the post. I'll try to post more often, but no promises! Until then, sayonara! Goodbye!

Bittersweet Day

Well. It's official. I'm moving out today guys.  :(

I am so so sorry that it has taken me this long to write a post, but college got really crazy! Not to mention this last week was finals week, so it just added to the madness. But tonight, I am officially leaving the dorm! Almost all of my stuff is packed and my mom is coming to help me tonight after work.

Wow. This year definitely flew by. I could have sworn just yesterday that I was in my first semester and had no idea what I was doing. XD Now, I'm officially a sophomore! It feels so great, you have no idea. But it's going to be hard leaving this place. Sure,  I'll still have my friends, but I won't get to see them as often considering I'll be commuting next year. Hey, I'm broke college student! Give me a break!

So, an update on my life since last time: Nothing has really happened. The only thing is that I got a job! That's right! I'll be a hostess at a restaurant, but I won't disclose the name. I officially start my training tomorrow, and I could not be more excited! I have been trying to get a job for while, and God has finally smiled on me! I seriously can't wait.

On another front, the boyfriend and I are doing just fine. In fact, he got me flowers at work (my job at school that is) last week, and everyone in the workplace was raving over them. He's so sweet! I could not have asked for a better boyfriend.

Well, that's it I guess. You guys can start looking forward to more posts, cause now that school is over, I'll have more free time. Even I am working, I'll still be able to post, so make sure you check every day (or other day depending on my work schedule). Anyways, happy summer! Sayonara! Goodbye!

A Busy life? What is this madness?

Ok, sorry about the delay guys! I have just been busy the past few days. Wednesday I went shopping with my mom (I'm sure I told you that in a previous blog, so if I did, I apologize for repeating myself.), and then ordered my books for college, so by the time we got all of that accomplished we were both irritable and ready to call it quits. Thursday, I had to clean out my car, which took a while (my car was dirty both inside and out!), so that took up most of my energy. Last night, I had to work and didn't get home till about 10:30 PM. At that point I just didn't feel like posting a blog. But today was a relaxed day, so now you'll be all caught up.

As for yesterday, work was very tiring. Not only that, but just about everyone I knew decided to stop by and purchase something. My old principal, the lunch ladies, a couple of classmates, and even some friends' moms stopped by too. Apparently I was a popular person yesterday. But yeah, that's about it. Nothing else happened today, so yeah... On another note, this next week is going to be hectic. I have a million things to do (including getting the final things for college since it's the week I move in), so I may not have time to post a blog. Don't worry though, things will die down by Wednesday, so expect a post then. If I have some free time before then, I'll try to write a quick post, but I can't promise anything. Until then, sayonara!

So...tired...

I hate shopping, My friends, family, etc. have heard me say it over and over, but tonight proved it to be true. I really hate shopping. Normally, I'll be alright with it (not thrilled unless it's something I absolutely want which is usually a game or some comfort item like a blanket or a pillow) if it's for me, but tonight it was half and half. We went to Kohls to pick up a few things for me to wear to work, and my mom wanted to look for some pants as well. We got there at about 7 o'clock. We didn't leave till 9:30. We ended up finding shirts and capris and everything else. XD

I didn't think we were going to be out that long. I don't think I've ever been this tired, and my feet have never hurt this much before. But I got some clothes for me, and I finally got out of the house, so besides the two and a half hours of shopping (bleh >.<), waiting for about twenty minutes to apply for a Kohls card (like a credit card only for Kohls), and then trying to order books online and having multiple problems with it (don't even get me started on that or you'll fall asleep halfway through the story), I am almost ready for college. I am so excited.

One last thing I wanna tell you: I have a job interview on Monday for a store right across from my college! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time, but I still have time to prepare for it. Well, that's it for today. A lot more exciting than the first two days of the week, so hopefully this post is a lot more fun to read. Anyways, I'm tired, so I'm gonna go. Sayonara!

I can't believe it...

So. Again, not much went on today. I cut the grass, which was unbearable. I don't think I've ever sweated that much in my life (I hardly ever sweat. EVER.), and this time I was almost dripping with it. But anyways, on a lesser gross note, I got some more college stuff together. It didn't really hit me until tonight while I was putting stuff in my book bag (obviously not my laptop, but other school supplies) to take with me. I just stood there, and then it hit me.

I'm going to college, away from home (well, 45 minutes really, but to me that's like being six hours from home), for a whole year.

God, where did my life go? It seems like I was just starting high school yesterday, and only grade school just a week ago. Geez, am I getting old (ugh I can hear my mom's voice in the back of my head saying 'You feel old?! I'm the one who's old!' >.<). Eh, who am I kidding? I'm gonna miss her. But anyways, tomorrow I'm going shopping, so hopefully my post will be a little bit more exciting. Until then, sayonara!

Typical Monday

Well. Today I woke up just like any other day. Yeah, it was a typical Monday, with chores to do, grass to cut, and college things to take care of. The good news is that I almost have all of my stuff ready for college. I'm still worried about where it's all gonna fit, but everyone (and by everyone I mean some college friends and my brother) keeps telling me that I won't believe what will fit. I guess I'll find out in about a week and a half.

Other than that, it was a typical Monday. Nothing much happened, didn't see any weird wildlife (like we saw bunnies trying to get it on in our backyard last night- don't ask- and we saw a baby possum and the mother (to which my mother decided to go and scare away by yelling at it, which I doubt will scare it away at all), and nothing exciting happened with any of the neighbors. All I heard was the normal chirping of the birds and the occasional humming of the police helicopter (which hovers over our house every other day anyway, so it's not like I'm used to it or anything. XD), so yeah. Another typical evening in the Deitsch household. Got more grass to cut tomorrow and probably more chores to do, so tomorrow's post will probably be similar to this one. Until then, sayonara!
